TheCX2020hasa1.4GHzIntel®Celeron®CPU,theCX2030hasa1.5GHzIntel®Core™i7dualcore
CPU,theCX2040hasa2.1GHzIntel®Core™i7quadcoreCPU.IntheCX2020andCX2030thecontroller
isfanlessandhasnorotatingcomponents.Duetoitshighpower,theCX2040hasafanwithballbearings
andspeedmonitoring.InadditiontotheCPUandchipsetthebasicmodulesalsocontainthemainmemory.
FortheCX2020andCX2030thesizeis2GB.Upto4GBarepossibleasanoption.TheCX2040has4GB
ofRAMasstandard.ThecontrollerbootsfromtheCFastflashmemorycard.Thebasicconfigurationofthe
modulesincludesaCFastmemorycard,twoindependentGbitEthernetinterfaces,fourUSB2.0interfaces
andaDVIIinterface.TheCPUhasaninternal128KBNOVRAM,whichfunctionsasapersistentdata
memoryifnoUPSisused.Optionallythedevicescanbeorderedwithaserialorfieldbusinterface.Other
componentsfromtheCX2000familycanbeconnectedviathemultipinterminalsoneitherside.The
operatingsystemisMicrosoftWindowsEmbeddedStandard7P.Uptofourmodulescanbeconnectedto
thebasicCPUmodule.Theconnectionorderisirrelevant.InternallythemodulesareconnectedviaPCI
ExpressandcanbepluggedtotheCPU"inthefield".ThepowersupplyfortheCPUmodulecomesfroma
CX2100powersupplymodule,whichisconnectedontherighthandsideoftheCPU.TwofurtherCFast
memorycardmodules(CX25500010)canbeconnectedbetweenthepowersupplyunitandtheCPU,so
thatatotalofuptothreeCFastcardscanbeused.RAIDcanbeusedinsituationswheremorethanone
CFastcardisused.
TheCX2020,CX2030andCX2040EmbeddedPCsextendtheCXproductfamilywithversionswithvery
highCPUpower(optionallywithmulticore)andenabledirectconnectionofBusTerminalsorEtherCAT
Terminals.TheCX2000inconjunctionwithEtherCATandTwinCATenablesveryfastcontrolprocessesin
themicrosecondrange(eXtremeFastControlTechnology).ThebasicCPUmoduleshavetwoindependent
GbitEthernetinterfaces,fourUSB2.0interfacesandaDVIIinterfaceasstandard.Aserialorafieldbus
